Driving in Rain
Rain and wet roads can make driving dangerous. Here are a few things to consider when driving in the rain :
| • Slow down and ensure more distance between you and other vehicles. • Stay toward the middle lanes as water tends to pool in the outside lanes. • Keep your windshield wiping equipment in good condition.Replace your windshield wiper blades if necesaary. • Be sure your tires are in good condition to avoid any skidding during quick stop on wet pavement. • Turn on your headlights to make it easier for others to see you. • If you must go through puddles, try to drive through them slowly. • If brakes are wet, apply them lightly while driving until normal braking operation returns. |
